Dan Becker, a registered US patent attorney, is a Partner in the Intellectual Property practice at Fenwick & West, representing preclinical and clinical-stage biotech companies in patent counselling and prosecution. Consistently recognized for over a decade and half as a “Life Sciences Star” by LMG Life Sciences, an “IP Star” by Managing IP, and recommended by Chambers and the Legal 500, Dan has built patent portfolios supporting multiple strategic acquisitions and IPOs. Dan holds a JD from Stanford Law School, an MD with research honors from Stanford University School of Medicine, and an AB from Harvard College. Before beginning his legal career, Dan conducted research in molecular immunology and eukaryotic gene expression; his research papers are still being cited 40 years after first publication.
