Philipp Starkl is an Associate Professor and independent Group Leader at the Medical University of Vienna, Dept. of Medicine I, Research Division of Infection Biology. He returned to Austria to join Sylvia Knapp at CeMM to study infectious diseases. Prior to that, he moved to the US to join Steve Galli’s lab at Stanford University as a PostDoc to continue and extend his work on mast cells and type 2 immunity. He received his PhD in Immunology from the Medical University of Vienna after studying Molecular Biology at the University of Vienna, Austria.

Philipp supports Allegria to realize its vision with his expertise in mast cell and allergy research.
